Joan is patient and helpful. She takes the time to listen and then make constructive comments. She is to the point and direct which I appreciate. I saw her several years ago and she continues to provide support and direct advice with possible choices towards a more balanced mental state.

I went to see Joan a few times. For serious depression. My last visit with her I had an emotional breakdown in her office. She shouted at me to stop and told me I was being irrational. I was going there for a reason.

I have had the exact opposite of the above reviews. I started seeing Joan when I was 6 weeks post partum and really struggling with anxiety and depression. That was 6 years ago and I still go every other week to see her. She is insightful and real. Hearing it can be hard, but being real is necessary in therapy. She shares her ideas and opinions and I find that to be very valuable. I have tried about 4 before her and she is the one I found to be the most helpful.

I saw Dr. Parks at the stress reduction center in Goshen back in July because I was having anxiety problems and depression. She basically treats you like you are stupid. Dr. Parks is very unprofessional and is no help at all. All she cares about is money and not helping you, plus she makes you feel dumb. I had to reschedule an appointment because she was late and tells me that I know showed. This lady needs to go!!

I saw Joan for depression and anxiety while pregnant and then after for treatment of post partum depression. She was so unprofessional and uncaring. During my sessions she would eat not just snack on a piece of candy but full on lunch type eating. She once peeled, cut and ate an entire avocado. She called my home one time after missing an appointment yelling into my answering machine about how she was doing me a favor by seeing me. I returned the favor and stopped seeing her all together.
