As a senior, things come crashing down on me due to aging and everyday life situations magnified by age. I was in depression and sought a therapist. Once a principal, I had seen students who hadn't found the right match with a therapist. Jill was the right match for me from day one. She gently asked great questions that led to great discussions, and I felt secure in discussing things with her. It wasn't very long before I was in a much better place. I always felt comfortable with her.

Jill Karsh is extremely judgmental and accusatory within moments of meeting her. I was in an extremely difficult co-parenting situation, and she had decided before she even met me that she was on the other parents’ side. She refused to even acknowledge that there could be more to the story than what she had heard. She attacked me verbally and proceeded to write a scalding letter defaming my character after one meeting. I would never again seek her help in any kind of mental health situation

After expressing concern that I might have ADHD, Jill asked one question. She asked if caffeine helped with focus and when I said that it did not, Jill said I did not have ADHD. After this visit, I spent many hours with a psychologist who eventually diagnosed me with serious ADHD. In my visit with Jill, she was also very frustrated and impatient with me. We all have bad days, but as a therapist, she needs to always remember the impact her words and behavior have on an emotionally fragile person

Jill helped me immensely. I saw her for over a year to deal with grief and depression. She was friendly and compassionate and helped guide me to where I needed to be. I knew her office was truly a safe space and looked forward to seeing her. She was extremely professional with me and supportive and I really couldn't ask for more. I have seen other therapists and I still regard her as the best and most helpful that I have seen.

Extremely judgmental and accusatory from the first moment. In my experience , a therapist must listen first before forming an opinion. They must also not put themselves before the patient. If you want an opinionated sounding board, Jill’s the right fit for you. If you have real mental health issues, Jill can do some real harm.

I appreciate Jill as she was able to help me get to a good place to help me deal with areas I needed to acknowledge and then helped me work on moving forward to achieve goals and learn life coping skills when faced with challenging situations. I'll be forever grateful for her support and the tools she has given me!

In my option Jill has completely failed to recognize some of the signs that spell out trouble in a co-parenting family structure. However, I think she works great for single parent family type situations. Seems like she leans to one side and stubbornly defend that particular parent side she has taken.
