Jessica Hull, NP

Jessica is someone who has worked so hard to keep me alive. I have been seeing her for over seven years now, and I wouldn't want anyone besides her playing this role in my life. She does her work better than so many psychiatrists I've met. She doesn't just manage my meds, she comes alongside me with support and encouragement, and I know she cares about me. She listens and empathizes, and as long as I'm not in danger, she makes decisions with me, not for me. She works hard to collaborate with my therapist. If you have a disorder that she doesn't know much about, she's willing to be educated by her patient. I speak from the perspective of eating disorders. If you're struggling with severe mental illness, she is a good choice. She once told me when I was apologetic about a way I had expressed a fear, "It would be wrong for me to get mad at something that's a symptom of your condition." She's plenty assertive when necessary, though. But she never judges me. I trust her with my life.
