No! I am writing for my mom who visited Jessica for follow up today. Mom felt her health needs and concerns were dismissed by Jessica who did not look up from her computer once to "see" my mom. Mom was placed on BP meds a month prior and proactively kept a daily BP log to share at visit. Jessica refused to look at log nor did she acknowledge mom's efforts. My mom has had recent episodes consistent with hyperglycemia. Her A1c was checked, high, and indicated prediabetes . Cholesterol labs were high on report but Jessica dismissed as normal; no discussion of treatment options with mom. Rather, when mom said the restrictive diet propsed to her in a letter with her lab results would be difficult, were there other options? Jessica said- it is either this diet or Diabetes. She told mom her blood sugars were fine, despite the lab report indicating high AND her promotion of restrictive diet. Makes no sense? She is a dishonor to nursing profession. Please find other alternatives for care.
