Dr. Jeffrey Levine, PSY.D

Dr Levine went out of his way to get me into his practice after being referred by his old co-worker. His approach is personal, educational and progress oriented. We’re solving issues I didn’t realize were blocking my progress through IFS ( way cool work btw). His time is limited and his skills are great. You’d be lucky to get in with him and if you do the work he suggests, you’ll make real progress.

Controlling. Takes out a bad mood on you, shares too many stories about himself, supplies judgements related to his perspective not yours, decide on your next actions pushes you to take an action even if you don’t feel ready for, pours unhelpful sympathy, his own emotional needs are priorities, regurgitates therapy procedures.

Dr. Levine has been a blessing for me. Unfortunately, I've had a lot to contend with the last few years. With Dr. Levine's guidance, I've learned how to connect with the causes of my "pain" instead of just treating the symptoms and telling a detail of what's happened this week, we dig down underneath the surface to understand the origins of my issues. He's very compassionate, patient, ethical, and empathic. After moving to CT from MA a few years ago, I worried that I wouldn't be able to find a new therapist and boy, did I hit the jackpot.

I have been a patient of Dr Levine for years. I truly value his honesty, insight and ability to make me look inside myself to find ways to better tackle lifes challenges. I come out of each session with a better understanding of myself and how past experiences effect me today. Dr Levine has helped me work through these past experiences to create a healthier emotional response to everyday life.

Doctor J. Levine is a professional and compassionate psychologist. He is up to date, highly skilled and knowledgeable in his approach to my complex treatment. I feel very comfortable being his patient. Recommend!

He is very direct but rude about it. He terminated my spouse who was going to him for a couple years because he didn’t cancel an appointment 3 days in advance, all because my spouse had to help me around the house because I had surgery and because of that he was terminated, to the point my spouse doesn’t want to go anywhere else because of this experience!
