Dr. Jeff Lookhart, OD

My 59 year old spouse lost 85% of her vision in her right eye after surgery with follow-up provided by Dr. Lookhart. After her surgery at the follow-up appointment and then at the follow-up meeting six days after surgery, my wife told Dr. Lookhart, the DO assigned to do follow-up examinations, that her vision wasn't right. He never did more than a quick review, but told her in each case that this was normal and would improve. She called the next week after noticing a loss of vision and was told to Immediately come to the office. Dr. Lookhart looked at her eye with magnification and told that her optic nerve was swollen. She had lost 85% of her vision in her right eye! As we left, Dr. Lookhart actually said "Good Luck"! We were told that if she had been examined more thoroughly and treated during the critical week, the outcome could have been substantially better! Dr. Lookhart has never cared to look into her outcome and I’d be surprised if he has any memory of such.
