I have been in therapy for over half of my 24 years, and I can confidently say that Janice is the best therapist I have ever had. Her intelligence and dedication to staying informed on the latest psychology research and treatments set her apart from the rest. Janice not only helped me repair broken family bonds and build my self-confidence but also empowered me to embrace my true self unapologetically. I've had a few different therapists over my lifetime and Janice ranks above all of them by a long shot. What sets Janice apart is that she cares about her patients and that shows through time and time again. I've been talking to Janice for 9 years now and wouldn't want to go anywhere else. She's keeps up with the newest studies & medical advice and is able to simplify things in a way that makes it easy to comprehend, especially when I'm going through a rough patch. I go to Janice for advice about anything and everything, and she always has the right things to say. She's helped me through multiple low periods of my life and is constantly consistent. I've recommended Janice to friends and family and will continue to do so.

I was in and out of mental hospitals and rehab throughout my high school years. I had no hope that my life would get better, only worse. Janice brought out the best in me and is everything I needed. She has brought me sobriety, peace with my mental state, and sarinity with my life in general. She understands her clients and builds a deep, close relationship with each and every one of them. Janice is amazing! She is always professional with her clients. She is able to develop trust and rapport very easily. She is extremely knowledgeable and up to date on all different therapies to best help the individual. Her many years of experience provide the background needed to guide anyone dealing with any issue. She is honest and open about treatment plans. She always keeps information confidential. She has been instrumental in building coping mechanisms and strategies that give lifelong support to my family.

I have seen Janice for almost 11 years now and she is the greatest provider I could ever recommend to someone! She has completely saved my life and helped me address my menthol health issues. She is always confidential, compassionate, and able to help me better process how I’m feeling. I saw Janice Gabe while in high school. The other review regarding patient confidentiality is correct, she would often tell my mother the details of my sessions, completely breaking my trust in the process. She would also gossip about other clients of hers that went to my school. I do not recommend her at all.

Went to Janice Gabe as a traumatized teenager with PTSD and a slew of other issues. She COMPLETELY broke patient-therapist confidentiality. Not only did she tell my abusive mother everything about our sessions, she told my boyfriend and his family details about our sessions and told them to stay away from me. I beg you, stay away from this woman.

Janice was a God-send to our family. She helped my son through a very difficult time (mania/psychosis due to an increase in meds by an unrelated psychiatrist). She has 35+ years working with adolescents and came highly recommended by my son's school counselors. She absolutely knows what she's doing and is very calming, caring and compassionate. I recommend her highly to anyone in a mental health crisis, but especially teens. The atmosphere in the office is also very calm and friendly.

I have been a client of Janice for a number of years. She is nonjudgemental, insightful, and incredibly intelligent. She has extensive experience working with individuals struggling and recovering from addiction. She is familiar with 12-step programs. Her services have helped to improve my depression, anxiety, and addictive behaviors. I admire that Janice stays updated on new evidence based practices and research. To start off, the last reviewer is mistaken. Janice Gabe (Indianapolis, IN) does not prescribe medication, and is far from incompetent or dangerous. That being said, I would recommend her to anyone in need. After firing my first three therapist, Janice was my last stop. She takes her confidentiality agreement very seriously and I was always assured that I was talking to a nonjudgmental ear. Janice helped me through some very trying times, to which I am forever grateful.

Cannot begin to properly express the gratitude i have for Janice and the New Perspectives office. The knowledge and expertise that she brings to each sessions allows me to work through my decisions and struggles with addiction in a safe and informed way. Her manner creates confidence. Janice's ability to stay up to date and contribute to her field is telling of her commitment to her clients. It is also an attitude that spreads through out the New Perspective office.

When I began seeing Janice, I was practically crippled. I couldn't leave my house, couldn't maintain a relationship, couldn't hold a job. Anxiety and agoraphobia had completely consumed me. I started treatment and therapy with Janice and her team and within a month, I was functioning like a normal person again. There's no telling where I would be, or if I would be, if it weren't for Janice. I recommend anyone battling mental illness to go see her.
