Abrasive. Mean. Unwilling to help alleviate a patient’s severe pain. My wife had a terrible emergency room visit with Janelle Sugay at Sugar Land Houston Methodist Emergency Room. Not only was Janelle extremely abrasive and condescending, she did not give my wife ANYTHING for pain in the 4 hours spent in the ER. Janelle had my wife chug a milky substance to coat her stomach and that was supposed to take care of her pain. When my wife told her she was still in pain (approx. 3 hours after chugging the milky white substance), Janelle’s response was, “well, it works for most people when their stomachs hurt” and sent her away with a prescription for the milky substance. My wife didn’t have a minor stomach ache! She had severe pain for 3 days and went to see her PCP for the pain and her PCP (seeing the severity of the situation) wheeled her down the hall to the ER! I’m shocked Houston Methodist would employ such an abrasive, rude “PA” with such disregard for a patient's severe pain.
