Jane Kistler

I am a US Navy Veteran as well as a former career Firefighter that has been diagnosed with severe PTSD. After losing it at the firehouse behind closed doors and not having a good connection with the 2 therapist from the eap, I was recommended to Jane. I did not understand what was happening to me at the time but Jane had such a good understanding on what’s going on and made me feel completely comfortable in coming to see her. Her understanding of PTSD and ability to explain what could possibly be going on in my head, helped so much. Unfortunately I only had about 5 or 6 visits with Jane due to having to start therapy at the VA (witch did not go well). Because of Jane I have been comfortable seeking doc after doctor, trying to find one that is compatible with me. I am happy to say I found one after seeing 14 others. I let my guard down with Jane and am so happy I did. Thank you so much

Jane is a very intense and cerebral person. She believes in delving deep into early childhood trauma, and parsing through your mind as you built it throughout the years. Jane is great at recognizing patterns and defense mechanisms; anxieties, traumas, and the disabling thoughts that people obsess over. Jane has an enormous capacity for empathy and thoughtfulness. She can be so earnest that it's hard to communicate, when she gets a thought going. You can tell she loses sleep over all the thoughts that she has, and that treatment is a therapeutic tool for her as well. It can be overwhelming when you have a lot of issues, and therapy is often so intense that it would make my head spin I would like to continue treatment with her, despite her being so intense and confusing toward the end of my time with her in 2018. I also think she stopped accepting Medicaid.
