Client for 11 months
About 10 1/2 years ago she was my therapist. My 11 months as her client were beneficial and upon a tune up visit about 8 months later I experienced a definite change/shift in her approach and counseling. She appeared distracted and was subjective in her recommendations. I canceled any future appts.

I came to Dr. Jane Anderson to talk through my depression and grief over the death of a family member. This was by far one of the most frustrating and useless experiences by any medical professional I've had. I filled out a questionnaire before our first session started. What I found annoying is that she repeatedly asked questions that was asked on the questionnaire. What was the point of filling out the paperwork if she wasn't going to look at it? She was on her tablet most of the time "taking notes". There wasn't much eye contact when I didn't like. I stopped coming after my second session. As bad as the first session was, I was trying to be open minded and see what the next meeting would bring. She started off by asking what I wanted to talk about, which I wanted to continue discussing my grief and depression. Immediately she dismisses that and says it was covered in the last session, so I should move on. At that point I gave up and decided to move on from her.

I would not recommend her. She would encourage frequent appointments and not really provide much substance in the sessions.

This was worst experience I have ever had with any therapist. She blatantly told me that I’m “wishy washy” just because I didn’t wanna schedule a bk2 -bk appt. w/her. She further said I should call the ph# on my ins. card & get another therapist. Jane Anderson asked I call my main doctor to put on conference call, during our 1st session & was typing the entire time of our visit. I Wasn’t able 2 obtain any feedback/eye contact. All she wanted was the money. There was no personable connection, empathy or understanding. Seems like she shouldn’t be in this type of profession given her poor treatment towards me. Will never recommend her to anyone ever. May she reflect on her reaction & do better moving forward. Also for my type of case I cannot schedule bk-to-bk sessions. Doctorate or not, education only gives you the base but without empathy or professionalism, all schooling goes out the door. It leads me to believe on how many other patients she has unprofessionally dismissed. Peace.

Got charged for a session after clearing up miscommunication between her and I over the phone. She called me, and didn't let me know after 10 mins I'd be charged.

After ending 6 years of counseling with Anderson I am writing a review. Her tone can be condescending. Most importantly, be cautious if you are LGBTQ as she strongly believes sex is only for reproduction (heterosexuals included), this would continually be brought up as a moral point despite my telling her of this being unprofessional. I am grateful however, in her helpful techniques to help stabilize me as I was experiencing intense anxiety in hospital. But would not continue long term.

I was spiraling into a dark place after a divorce and job loss and Dr. Anderson was able to help me see the light. I was able to rebuild my confidence and develop short term and long term goals to work on. I am forever grateful for her help.

Dr. Jane has been great, she spent a lot of time beyond a normal session explaining to me her course of treatment and her recommendations. I felt comfortable, reassured, and that she had my best interest in mind. I am definitely glad I was able to find a therapist close to home with flexible hours.

Dr. Jane was insightful, helpful, and provided much-needed support during a critical time for our son. I would use her again if therapy services are needed in the future.

Pretty bad experience with her, not only is she condescending, but money Hungry. My son was seeing her and unfortunately he was hospitalized, we called 3 days in advance to tell her as she recommended doing she didn't want to cancel so she told us to come in. I wanted to spend the time with my son and she only cared about billing our Insurance.
