Dr. James Stewart, OD

Walked into a VERY DISORGANZIED office, stacks of books & piles of paper EVERY WHERE!! We were called back seconds after a patient left the one exam room they have, nothing was cleaned or sterilized (we are in a pandemic) then he stated that my 5yr old son (who has been 5 for less than a week) had 20/20 in his left eye & 20/25 in his right eye & was recommending bifocals!!! Who in their right mind recommends bifocals for a 5yr old? He's also very hard of hearing & could NOT understand any questions I asked him. He also tried to discuss racism and the the BLM movement (in front of my 5yr old biracial son) At that point I told him that he needed to stop talking about it which he also did not hear. Needless to say we passed on the bifocals & I won't be returning

Horrible - I took me and my daughter here for the first time. He messed up both of our prescriptions. I took my daughter elsewhere to get another eye exam in which the prescription was so totally different. Then after receiving my glasses, I could not see out of them. So I went back and he refused to do an actual eye exam and said his prescription was right and I was wrong. He said I could not accept the truth and the other doctors were lying to me and giving me the wrong prescriptions all my life. He is very rude, disrespectful and will not listen to the patient. He said that if I want what the other doctor did, then he will just write a prescription for my old glasses or just compromise and give me something in between. I told him, I would not accept that and he needed to give me the right prescription and he said he already did, but I don't want to accept it. So I walked out of the appointment and called my insurance and went somewhere else. He said go see those smucks when I left.

We brought our daughter here to get her eyes checked and the staff was just amazing , friendly , and helpful, Dr. Stewart is awesome, I can tell he cares about his patience , he is very knowledgeable, funny, and such a sweet hearted man! He even gave our kids a Charlie Brown movie , he definitely goes above and beyond , it really was a blessing having met him, nice to know there is still Loving people in this world, thank you Dr Stewart and staff

Dr. Stewart is a great optometrist. He has helped to get my eyes seeing a little more clearly and has even lowered my prescription a couple of times from what I had when I first came to see him. My eyes feel relaxed and good. Thanks Dr. Stewart!

Dr. Stewart and his staff go above and beyond in service. Glasses or contacts have always come in on time. Any problems were taken care of promptly and efficiently. Dr. Stewart has been available for emergencies and doing my annual check-ups for 10 years now. Efficiency accompanied by courtesy is a rare combination in today's business world, this business has both a rarity.
