Jay is my daughters doctor. We are not an easy bunch to deal with at times. She has a "few" issues and I am an anxious and can be over bearing parent. She had two other psychiatric doctors before him, and she did not do well. They were 5 min visits, she refused to even say hi to them, nor did they even make her talk. They just looked to me for answers, wrote out a script and said see you in 3 months. Jay spends time with us, makes her talk and she does. Everything is important. I like it.

I have been seeing Jay for many years, dealing with multiple ongoing issues that have plagued me for at least twenty years, as well as several life traumas that have required special attention. In the worst times I've gone through (where I was unable to see Jay) he went way above and beyond to show his support and show that he cared. He has never waivered in his support and commitment to my care. I have never met a mental health professional as good as he is.

Refused to acknowledge that I could be bipolar, even though it runs in my family. Threw tons of antidepressants at me which eventually caused a manic episode that nearly ruined my life. Every doctor in the valley I've seen since has nothing nice to say about him.

I was given 2 meds that should NEVER be taken together, leaving me with Serotonin Poisoning and confined to bed for at least 4 weeks. My GP had tried to contact Somers about this incident, but Somers has not returned 2 different messages for a return phone call. I nearly died.
