He gave me the ick
This old white guy (who is of average intelligence at best) gave me the ick when I met with him. (It wasn't just because he has 1 eye.)

He put me at ease quickly, explained things well, and was very helpful. I have recommended him to many friends. It was easy to make an appointment and he accommodated my need for after work appointments.
