Jaime Mendoza, PMHNP

Jaime was very knowledgeable about my Bipolar Disorder. She was very attentive when listening to my symptoms and my history. She was also very observant with noticing some symptoms that I was not aware of. I would highly recommend Jaime as a Psychiatric Nurse Practioner.

I have received care from SIA/Jaime Mendoza since 2021. She does well with medication management and has up to date knowledge of mental health conditions; she is trauma informed. However, the clinic that supports her is very difficult to contact; you can not call and speak to anyone, the messaging system is convoluted, and their email messaging system is similar - no one responds quickly to any messages left, regardless of your need. Also, clinic support staff does not seem able to effectively coordinate around insurance issues and when facilitating Spravato treatment. My Spravato treatment was interrupted on numerous occasions due to lack of coordination by clinic staff regarding insurance. It was ultimately discontinued abruptly and I would not recommend anyone interested in the treatment to pursue it at SIA. Overall, it was handled very poorly and I am now seeking a new provider.

Was very nice, asked me questions, seemed genuinely interested and caring. Didn’t rush me, was concerned about some of the meds I was on, some are contradictory to others. 2 rxs were not doing me any good at all due to a previous surgery and I had been on them for over 5 years. I have had extreme major depression for years and to think the other Drs just wrote the rxs and basically wrote me off is very upsetting to say the least. My previous Dr was a psychiatrist and Ms. Mendoza didn’t want to just write me the same existing rxs and see me in 6 mos as previous Drs had she wants to see me monthly. I really trust her after just 1 appt, nervous about changing meds a bit but I think she has my best interests in mind.
