She’s terrible
She diagnosed our son years ago with autism and had absolutely no tact… she was rude, condescending, threw a diagnosis at us with no regard to how we were feeling and then told us to learn more about on at Autism speaks. I then called her later on when needing some paperwork and her first sentence was “well, I don’t work for free.” She’s vile and needs to retire. She shouldn’t be working with kids.

Dr. Jove-Altman was extremely rude and condescending. During an evaluation, she continuously made inaccurate comments about my child as if she knew my child more than me. The evaluation took place virtually and she literally saw my kid for less than 10 minutes. I would not recommend her to complete an evaluation on a toddler.

During a 30 minute telehealth meeting (was supposed to be an hour) she got up and walked around her office gathering things, put her vest on, clearly getting ready to leave. Constantly distracted. She diagnosed my son with moderate autism, with all the tact of a Nazi stormtrooper. She is rude, snarky and condescending. We are a trilingual family, which is in my son's file. She lied saying it wasn't (we have a copy, it is), and said she would pretend we didn't tell her. She clearly never read his file. Awful, horrible woman. We can't accept a serious, consequential diagnosis such as moderate autism without a proper evaluation. We are getting him re-evaluated. Run from this "doctor"!
