Hyesu Shin, PMHNP-BC

A previous psychiatrist that I saw for 2 years diagnosed me with ADHD and I had a medication regimen that suited my symptoms just fine. Unfortunately, I had to move states for work and find a new psych to refill my medication. When I saw Hyesu for my first visit, she was insistent that I had a 'mood disorder' (It came off as bipolar disorder) after twenty minutes into the FIRST session, and that I had to take 2-3 additional medications to fix my poor sleep (This was caused by my poor low-fiber diet). I understand that a psychiatrist's job is to diagnose and prescribe medications for symptoms, but I've never been so uncomfortable around a medical professional before. She made it seem like I couldn't give 'No' for an answer. At the next session, which were all remote, she was sitting at the pool! It was very hard to hear her due to the wind and noise, and it came off as very unprofessional. She also tried prescribing even more medications for my digestive symptoms at night. Avoid her!
