Dr. Heidi Gahr, PSY.D

I am saddened but not shocked to read the review from Dec 2024. We had the same experience with Dr. Gahr, and it was an extremely frustrating and disheartening experience working with her. It is unfortunate that she is so imbedded in the court system which routinely just gives out her name as a therapist they recommend. please beware

Dr.Gahr minimized my childs reality and concerns while ignoring medically documented harm endured. My suicidal, depressed child came home crying from every session with Dr. Gahr and said repeatedly Gahr never cared, listened or helped in any capacity. It was all forcing my child to 'forgive and move on' or 'it is in the past, so stop talking about it' while dehumanizing my child by continually minimizing the reality and trauma endured. Unfortunate the bias Dr.Gahr holds over the children she supposedly is 'protecting'. All the reunification process does is enable narcissists while teaching them how to further manipulate the court and continue to get away with further harm. Unfortunate a therapist feeding into the mental health crisis in this country and doing it at childrens expense.

She will only listen to you if you are the narcissistic manipulator in the divorce. The better manipulator you are, the better your chances. She is not able to see both sides of the divorce and doesn’t care about what is best for the children. She is very easily manipulated and doesn’t realize it. She is a real danger to the future of your children.
