I'm also curious how other MTs handle a receiving bad bodywork. I had one of the worst deep tissue massages I ever received yesterday from a certified therapist at a day spa I've enjoyed before.I was early but the MT picked me up late, did no intake, once on the table I told her I wanted focus on my lower body, especially my calves were sore and I've also been experiencing knee pain while working out. She starts with my upper body putting heavy pressure immediately in the middle of the muscle belly and doesn't follow through to the attachment or insertion points. She had three techniques and repeated them for about 30 minutes with no real flow and after every other stroke she took her hands off to reapply lotion to the point where my back was just a slip and slide.
