Lacks Compassion and Empathy
Though she is helpful with practical steps in life. I found Dr. Hale to be void of compassion and empathy. Dr. Hale will need to deem that you have 'suffered enough' in order to receive care

She was everything I needed from a therapist
I went to Dr. Hale after suffering a terrible loss in my life. She was very empathetic, and worked with the staff psychiatrist to find the medications I needed. I'm one of those people that thought therapy was pretty hokie, and doubted its' effectiveness. How wrong I was. Dr. Hale really helped to chang my mind. My experience was over 10 years ago, and I went to her for three years. I ran into this review site because I feel like I may need a little maintenance. Life brings change.

She has been unfailingly kind, respectful, and non-judgmental--even when challenging very basic thinking. Very patient. Uses only evidence-based practices. Highly respected by other doctors and practitioners, including those at UAB. Incredibly intelligent and thoughtful, yet pragmatic. I've never waited beyond my appointment time--not even once. For the entirety of each session, she has focused exclusively on me and has skillfully and intentionally managed every aspect of that time.
