Was curt with me despite the fact I arrived 15 min early and was filling out paperwork. First session was okay but she’s a bit rude. She asked me about something traumatic at the end of the session, I started speaking about it and crying -she tells me I don’t have to as there’s not enough time to resolve the issue. Well it’s too late now. She didn’t listen too intently to what I said. I know this because she made multiple assumptions that could’ve been cleared up with just a simple question. Then she pushed trauma therapy on me, which is super intense and lasts numerous sessions. I didn’t really want to do it but like I said, she’s not a very good listener and tends to talk over you. I should’ve advocated better for myself. I ended up stopping abruptly because I was not prepared for trauma therapy. And yes, I was aware of what it would be like as I’m no stranger to it. Listen to clients more and stop up selling therapy sessions and your book. It’s insensitive. We already pay you.
