Telehealth
She wasnt mean, but seemed incredibly bored the entire time. She wasn't supportive or validating. Maybe she's been doing this too long and has compassion fatigue. She's not a bad person, but wasn't helpful for me personally.

TARDINESS (and no apology)
I had 3 sessions with Ginger. They were all telehealth. I used my cellphone to link up, and we both could see and hear each other via the app.Ginger was 2 to 4 minutes late to all sessions. Imagine being a client waiting. The anxiety is high already, and you're nervous. I thought maybe it's me who has an IT issue? No, again Ginger was late. 2 out of 3 times. And she did not acknowledge or apologize for being late. Lack of self-awareness and lack of respect. There's Late arrival fee for clients, please respect our time! PROsGinger has a fun/quirky personality. Another plus is her schedule seems to be flexible.Ginger was ok to decent in her advice to me. My family member was dying....and I was burdened with grief. The advice Ginger doled out was run-of-the-mill grief info that anyone could possibly find on their own. Unfortunately she did not reach deeper or get to more probing, so the sessions were generic and not specific or special! She's an OK counselor.

She showed up to the telehealth appointment 5 minutes late, which wouldn't be as big of a deal except for considering what followed. Due to a recent last-minute work schedule change I asked if she could accommodate the hours that I would be working. She said she could meet with me bi-weekly but unfortunately I need weekly. I told her that it would not work. I asked if we should continue the session and she said she could do a late cancel. I specifically made sure to ask if a late cancel would be less expensive than finishing the session and she confirmed this with a yes. Later, I get a bill in the mail that is 3 times the price had I just finished out the session. I chose to do a late cancel based off of the information she gave me. I tried to dispute this but her agency, Heart Centered Counseling, will not respond to my messages. I understand if she was upset with me, but due to previous experiences I do not like wasting time with providers that are unable to meet my treatment needs.

Ginger was great at listening to me and explaining medical definitions of what I was experiencing. She made logical suggestions for moving forward. HOWEVER, the ball was dropped with billing. My Employee Assistance Program authorization code was not used to bill me. Centura & United Health refused to correct the issue, I became stubborn about paying a meaningless little bill (seriously, neither were>$30) and Centura sent it to collections. Just what a guy dealing with anger/anxiety needs...
