Unhelpful. Office was gross. Doctor kept us waiting over 30 mins was not even slightly apologetic. When questioned on this and his choice to take no insurance he became irate. We left having wasted our time. Kept my son home from school for this nonsense.

Dr. Wintrob is definitely a bit eccentric. It takes a while to get used to his nature. However, he is an awesome doctor, working in a field that not enough vision doctors work in. I got glasses when I was 5, and every doctor in the 18 years since then (aside for Dr. Gerald Wintrob) told me that my eyesight would only get worse, never better. Dr. Wintrob has proved them all wrong. My eyesight is improving, and I'm excited to keep working with Dr. Wintrob.

Me and most of my family have been clients of Dr. Wintrob since 1992 or so. He cured my double vision issues, his prescriptions for glasses and eye exercises helped my eyes to relax and remain strong over the years, and I have learned much about how I see and how to take care of my eyes from him. I moved away but am going to make a special trip to NYC just to see him because I haven't been happy with eye specialists anywhere else. I was spoiled by having such a great professional for so long.
