I've never felt like I've totally connected with a counselor who was really able to help me in my adult years until I met Mr. Bortz. He really helps you think for yourself and resolve your own issues so that you can carry that onward outside of therapy for future use.

My husband filed for a divorce in 2013. The gifted, researched and Christian based strategies that Gerald poured into me saved my life, family and our marriage. They became effective when I gave up and trusted Gerald’s guidance. In 2018, my husband asked to marry me again in Montego Bay, Jamaica with no audience. It was by far, the most memorable time in my life. I actually searched for a male counselor for my husband and learned Gerald’s expertise was for me first. Throughout this troubled time, My husband started to observe and was amazed at my effort and evidence of Change! We moved to another city where me and my husband received couples counseling. We now celebrate 2 anniversary dates! Married now for 37 years and thank God for placing Gerald in our marriage history’s path. Since my effective experience with Gerald, I have referred several couples to him and looking forward to reconnect for maintenance strategies for my life and my marriage!

Gerald Bortz helped our family immensely with suggestions on how to deal with loss of a loved one and how to support family members and ourselves with our grief. His service was exceptional and I would do it over again without hesitation. It made a difference in the lives of our loved ones!

I cancelled the last appointment of the day- at 8pm. I was told I owed Gerald $69.00 for doing so. Gerald was seeing my son, Gabriel. Gabe truly enjoyed his time with Gerald, however- for a single mom of three- I literally can't afford an extra $69 bucks. No grace given whatsoever. We had never cancelled before, it was a one time thing. Gabe wanted to go to youth at church that evening. I'm like- God or Gerald?? Hard pick. Guess it's my fault for scheduling on a Wed? Thanks for all the help???

Gerald has helped tremendously with my anxiety, depression, and PTSD by providing real strategies and thought processes to help with these issues. He will actively talk to you and engage in your thoughts while being honest and open minded.
