Phenomenal care

I've been seeing Erin Michael and my children have for 6 years. She is very attentive and really cares. One of my children had something going on that other providers and specialists were unable to figure out. After seeing her she helped diagnose and get a plan on board. That plan resulted in my child getting the best care and concern was figured out and solved. I won't see anyone else. I'm not sure why the other reviews are so negative. Yes she's had to cancel and appt on me in the last year for an ongoing family emergency and that's just fine. There are plenty of other providers I can see in the mean time. I've also had a student for a visit and I had the choice to see a student or not for my care. My thought is everyone has to learn and if they are learning from her then they will be learning from the best. So before you listen to the others know she is a great provider who goes above and beyond everytime and she's done that for my family of 4 for the last 6 years.

I’m not going to say that she is a bad doctor, but if you want someone who is attentive and someone that you believe is concerned with your care, she probably isn’t the doctor for you. For starters, she cancels appointments fairly often, and at the last minute. Second, you will usually only speak with her at the end of the appointment. She often has medical students interning and the visit with them will take up the vast majority of the appointment. This rubbed me the wrong way and I felt she wasn’t really invested in my care because of this and only seeing her for 5-10 minutes at the end and that I was just another number. Also refused to refill a (non narcotic) prescription without seeing her despite my explaining that I was moving out of state and wouldn’t have insurance for a few months and that my insurance was being canceled before an appointment with her could be made.

I was seeing Erin Michael for 8 years and she was dismissive of my treatment plan and would speak down to me. I went through a difficult time in my life and with the support of a good team I was able to find a better care team who listened to me. Please be careful if you should seek her out as a provider.
