She shows no empathy and talks in a condescending way. After seeing her, I felt very small and an awful mom for being unable to keep up with my 11 yo son's daily meds. He needs to take two oral meds and asthma inhaler two puffs twice a day forever. My son lies as any normal kid would do, so I understand it is my job to manage and control his meds intake. However, it's not easy when we have to do this everyday with no end, and there is so much going on each day. I have a toddler to keep up with. I work as an engineer and my husband is often absent from traveling. My brain is mush by the end of the day... What's really interesting is that my son seems to be fine with skipping so much meds intake. She said his lungs sound good. I cannot even pronounce one of the meds right, and often mix up the names. I know that I am ignorant like that, and must be a disappointment to her, but I would appreciate a little more understanding instead of making me feel like a failure.
