Emily Hoger, CNM

Dr. Hoger was my gynecologist for almost 10 years. I was very sad to hear that she left Keystone Women's care in Chambersburg. I always was nervous going to get an exam, but Dr. Hoger made me feel very comfortable, and when she walked in the door, her smile just cheered me up. She always asked if I had questions and would explain everything in detail. She was there when my daughter was born and it was a great experience thanks to her encouragement and the calming effect she had on me. Even when my daughter was older she still remembered her birth.

Initially, Dr Hogar seemed very friendly and professional. I met with her about getting back on hormones, and talked to her for over an hr about my treatment plan. After my visit, she contacted my nephrologist, who agreed to said treatment plan. But, the very next day, she decided to change EVERYTHING we'd agreed to. While she claims it was in my best interest, due to my other health problems (esrd), even my nephrologist agreed that her changes were absolutely unnecessary. When I contacted her about the changes, and the fact that the changes she made were quite literally impossible on my end, she simply doubled down and insisted she was right about them. Not only did she waste my time, she got my hopes up which then sent me into a serious depression that I'm honestly still working on getting out of. I recommend going to literally ANY other doctor, if even remotely possible.

Emily is by far the best I have ever dealt with. She is courteous, knowledgeable & extremely personable. When she has you one to one it really feels like you are her only patient for the day. I recommend her to all my friends and family! Makes those tough female appts about as comfortable as they ever could be.

I’ve been seeing Emily for at least 6 years and she is just amazing. She’s knowledgeable and personable. Just everything you look for in a medical profession.
