Before we say anything else, we want to say how grateful we are to know and be working with Emily.
She has been our rock, our beacon of understanding and relief during the most difficult year of our lives.
We met Emily when our son was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in December, 2020.
It was a terrifying time for us, navigating not just the healthcare system but also our total ignorance regarding juvenile diabetes.
We felt paralyzed.
And then Emily entered our lives.
Suddenly, there was someone who would listen to us! And be responsive, too!
These are precious skills.
Emily has a gift. The gift of/for caring. We always feel listened to and cared for.
And more, she has given us confidence in our ability to handle this new challenge ourselves.
