Elvis Smith, PA

I saw Elvis Smith on 7/17/23 for neck pain and it was one of the worst medical experiences I have had. When reviewing my X-ray he asked if I could read one?? I told him I have neck pain and he then told me my X-ray was “really bad”. After I listened I told him I get headaches, etc… and he asked why I didn’t tell him sooner. He didn’t want to speculate what sort of treatment might work for me until I got an MRI, which I was ok with. I was interested in starting with the least invasive treatment and he stated that the professionals make that decision. He also stated that he did neck surgery and I added, “With a doctor.” I asked whether to use heat or cold on the neck and I was told I should know my own body. He was dismissive, had no “bedside manner”, and showed no empathy whatsoever. I greeted him at the beginning of the appointment and was polite. I left that appointment feeling frustrated and angry, knowing I would never see him again and then contacted another orthopedic group.
