I am a Type 2 diabetic that has had my A1C under control at 5.7, over a week ago I ran out of after requesting a refill from my pharmacy to which they faxed into the provider. I called twice my self last week and they told me they will let my PA know. I still had not received a refill so I went on the patient portal to request there which still no refill. Today I was able to speak with the providers assistant to be informed that the refill had been denied and no one let me know. They said until I come to see them they will not refill my insulin two which the earliest would be this upcoming Friday that will make it two weeks with Insulin. How can anyone think this is ethical and hold someone's medicine like this so I can come in and pay a copay of $20.

Asked for help with my anxiety medicine and Elvira Quijas wouldn't listen to my concerns, just kept pushing bipolar medicine on me. Wouldn't refill my ibuprofen or other medicines. Wasted my day sitting in office for 2 hours for no reason. I'll go elsewhere from now on.
