Ellen Smith

Ellen is a therapist I have been working with for multiple years. She and I did not immediately find a harmony when our client and counselor relationship began, rather it took a little bit of getting to know each other to find our balanced collaboration. However, after that it has been a happy experience getting to work together on my mental health. I am quite a bit younger than Ellen but have found that despite that creating some confusion at times, Ellen is open and excited to learn and understand things she may not be familiar with. This is a huge difference to other counselors that I have worked with and so necessary when discussing hard topics. Ellen is also great at implementing things she learns about, often doing her own research to better educate herself. All in all she is a helpful, patient, curious and educated therapist as well as a kind, ethical, creative and fun human! I would recommend her to anyone who appreciates a non-traditional approach to their counseling.
