I saw Ellen because I could no longer continue seeing my previous medication provider for my mental health. I didn’t have super high expectations coming in - I just wanted a provider who was decently friendly that could keep refilling/adjusting my meds as necessary. Right off the bat, our initial appointment wasn’t great. When she came out to get me from the waiting room, she just called my name then turned and went back to her office without even looking to see if I was following. No introduction or asking me how I’m doing or any normal politeness you might expect. The rest of the appointment was similarly cold and impersonal. While asking personal questions regarding my history, she had no warmth or empathy whatsoever. It felt like she was displeased to have me sitting there and wanted me to leave as soon as possible. Very dismissive over my concerns. After the appointment I went to my car and cried. Definitely will not be returning to see her.

Ellen rushes through appointments; I've had appointments with her that have lasted literally fewer than 5 minutes. She is a very cold, unprofessional member of the Abbe Center, unfortunately. I would not recommend her services.

I sought out mental health treatment through the Abbe center and was given Ellen as my medication manager. I saw her over the course of 3 months. First session was just me giving her my HONEST history of depression and anxiety that dates back to 2001. (I've tried a plethora of medications and none have worked for depression. Some have worked for anxiety but it's a balancing act with those bc they can have negative side effects.) . She offered me wellbutrin. A month later, with no effects noticea
