Beth had exactly the personality I needed in a counselor. She was warm, understanding, and personable. She was like a trusted mentor or beloved aunt. Yet she was also honest and straightforward. She listened to what I wanted to achieve in my work with her and even how I would like to do so, without judgment. At first it was hard for me to accept that talking was a main focus of talk therapy. I wanted homework and steps but Beth was patient and saw me through. In the end, I miss her!
