They will lie to you about your insurance being willing to pay. Almost all insurance policies have a restriction against the vision therapy billing codes. Dr. Crandon knew this before she saw me and still billed with that code anyway. My insurance company told me they needed pre-authorizations and that they should be billing on occupational therapy instead of vision therapy.Instead, I ended up with huge bill almost three times what they promised and they were very mean about collecting.
