I started seeing Beth about ongoing pain episodes between my shoulder blades in August 2021. She diagnosed this as muscle spasms without any diagnostics and prescribed me a muscle relaxer. I expressed that the pain was incredibly severe, lasting hours at a time, causing sweating, chills and vomiting. I met with Beth multiple times, and she prescribed me stronger and stronger muscle relaxers and pain medication each time. She referred me to a Physical Therapist and Physical Medicine specialist. Every Dr I saw said “it’s odd, muscle pain usually isn’t centralized between the shoulder blades.” For two month no one, including Beth, recommended blood work or any diagnostics until I asked for an X-Ray and MRI. Finally an urgent care Dr ordered blood work and an ultrasound, which showed a gallstone blocking my CBD and dangerous liver swelling - they admitted me to the hospital that day for surgery and kept me 4 days. If I had continued to follow Beth’s guidance, this would have become fatal.
