Elizabeth Adkisson, LPC

This was one of the most unprofessional experiences I've ever had. She was 20 minutes late to start, and she mostly talked about herself and how all of her patients loved her and gained so much from her. She barely made eye contact, closing her eyes most of the session when she spoke, and after only 15 minutes, she went on a long rabbit trail about how she thinks I have schizotypal personality disorder after I brought up concerns about possibly having borderline personality disorder. I felt unsafe to share how I really felt after that. I didn't realize the intake session would be more than an hour long and I tried to explain I had a job interview I needed to get to but she cut me off and said we weren't done. She slapped a 'bipolar affective' diagnosis in my records before I left just because my mom has bipolar. I have a history of depression (triggered by events), but no history of mania. I left her office shaking. This was almost a year ago, and I'm still baffled.
