She prescribed a combination birth control pill to me way too easily. I felt as though she basically gave it to me as if it were candy with no consequences and without asking important questions about my history. She never asked me whether I had a history of migraines which is such a basic question for a provider giving estrogen birth control to ask. As a result of her prescription, I had a stroke about a week later. She may not be the only doctor to give birth control out with too little screening but this lack of attention astounds me as she seemed to be a very caring and experienced practicioner.

She was the attending midwife during my delivery. After a few hours of unmedicated, very painful, back labor I asked for an epidural. She was unwilling to order it for five hours. She also fat shamed me when I was 9.5 cm dilated and pushing. The experience was so scary, being vulnerable and not listened to, that I will not have another child.
