Donna Nelligan, PA

I originally found Donna for my partner at the time who was struggling greatly with anxiety and depression. In 2015, shortly after they began treatment, I also became a patient of Donna’s. She has always been patient, realistic, and understanding; Donna sincerely cares about others and it shows in the work she does and the connections she forms with those who come to her for help. I have seen several other professionals for help with my mental health throughout my life, yet none have been nearly as successful as Donna. She is the first mental health professional I’ve seen that actually listens to what I’m going through and offers her suggestions from a place of compassion as opposed to judgement. I’m currently at a place in my life that I had previously convinced myself was no longer possible. To be honest, I don’t believe that both my ex-partner and I would still be here had we not stumbled upon her practice and been accepted into her care.

I have been a patient of Donna’s for seven years. She has seen me through some very low places. I feel she always has my best interest in mind, and has directed me in the right ways as I navigate medications.

Donna Nelligan is wonderful! I have multiple mental illnesses and when I came to her I had been off my meds for awhile and was in bad shape. She saved my life. She was thorough and knowledgeable and empathetic and listened and really knew what she was talking about. She got me on the right meds and also helped with my overall health concerns as I have gone through menopause. I feel stable and able to handle life now. She never ever talked down to me and I felt heard. I feel very very lucky to have her as my mental health doctor.

Best doctor ever. She is so personable. She totally understands my emotional issues. I love to talk with her. She is prompt and always has a smile on her face!

Donna overcharged me and won't return my calls or emails. After finally filing a complaint with my insurance, she did call me and said she would mail a check. Ten days later, I have not received a check. I went to 1 appointment and cancelled the second. She had no idea I had cancelled the second appointment. In the few times I talked to her, she mentioned 3 TIMES that she didnt like my insurance because it didnt pay her well enough (she was in-network by her own choice).

I’ve been seeing Donna for two years now. She is wonderful at what she does. Donna fully listens to what I’m saying-she’s compassionate, kind, understanding, nonjudgmental-she really cares about her patients. Every single time I go in for an appointment, all the patients in the waiting room are there for her-that speaks volumes of her as a PA. I fully trust Donna and her experience and knowledge of medication management. I can’t thank her enough for helping me through some challenging times.

I have seen Donna since I first moved to CO 4 years ago. She has been an amazing gift in my life. She has helped me figure out correct diagnosis’ and worked with me medications to help me get the best treatment I need. She is more than a psychiatric physician’s assistant. She truly cares and takes the time to really connect with her patients at each appointment. She and her asst Sonia have gone above and beyond and I am so grateful to them both for the help they have provided me! THE BEST! S.T.

Donna has been the best mental health care provider by far !its extremely hard to find good healthcare now a days especially someone you can trust and rely upon !she has help me emotionally and mentally get through my problems in so many different ways. Donna is one of the best pysch docs I have ever known I will not take meds willingly but Donna just has this way and I take my Meds no problem I go to my appointments. I have been talking my children to Donna for many years.we got a new insurance and went to a doctor through the insurance what a mistake.I went back to Donna I need a doctor who is going to treat my children and not like a number.I appreciate the fact that she listens to me as a parent and tells it like it is.If you want a doctor who listens and cares I suggest Donna.

Donna is spectacular. She's extremely knowledgeable in her profession and takes great care in listening and understanding a patients needs. I've never been to a dr that makes you feel as comfortable talking about one's medical needs as Donna! She's a breath of fresh air. Because of her expertise and truly caring about her patients I've never been in a better place with my health as I am now!
