After seeing her for a period of time, she had forgotten the primary reason why I initially started seeing her. She also called me by the wrong name repeatedly. Her professional boundaries were questionable. During EMDR, I informed her that my anxiety and depression had increased significantly, to the point that I was experiencing panic attacks, and she had no helpful advice to cope other than to breath in lavender essential oil. She also acted like my reaction was abnormal. Before beginning EMDR, she assured me that my symptoms would not get worse during treatment.
