Dr. Diane Gottfried, PHD

I came to Dr. Gottfried with previous psychoanalysis experience, and have been seeing her weekly for about a year and a half. Since beginning therapy with her, I have seen a profound improvement in how I approach conflict and regulate my emotions. Dr. Gottfried practices with empathy and curiosity and offers thoughtful feedback during our sessions. I feel generally very supported and look forward to our sessions each week. I highly recommend Dr. Gottfried to anyone looking for a psychoanalyst/psychotherapist.

My sessions with her have been much more than I had expected. Each session I have had with her have given me more insight into so many facets of my thoughts and actions that has helped me so much. I appreciate her ability to be professional and sensitive.

Highly recommend, she is a great listener and offers great insight... I like that she pushes me to question/explore feelings/emotions. She puts thought into what she says and is not one of those therapists who just talk to hear themselves talk. She offers great perspective. I personally like that she does not physically respond to anything i say. I have had therapists in the past whose eyes widen or just show too much physical emotion and has turned me off. But she is professional and collected.
