Extremely rude and dismissive

Had pink eye and was treated like a child in the nurses office trying to get out of class. It was a Saturday and didn’t want to wait to see primary care on Monday. She tried arguing with me saying I must be lying that my primary care can get me in for a virtual visit that soon, and that’s it’s obviously not through the clinic. I Should have just waited for that. Never doing express care again not even sure why it’s an option when Cleveland clinic primary care has always been able to squeeze me in the next day. She didn’t even process all the information I told her anyways, the appointment notes were incorrect with what I stated.

Dismissive, rude, rushed

Dewanda does not deserve to be a doctor. I am a Crohn’s patient on biologics suffering from a severe viral infection that has spanned two weeks. I was very vulnerable in our urgent care appointment and cried and she said “Yeah, everyone’s been crying today, this is just what it is.” All my concerns were dismissed as “this is what’s going around, there’s nothing we can do or give you.” I understand there’s no easy fix for a viral infection, but sympathy goes a long way. She made me feel humiliated and stupid for seeking medical advice. I’m so confused that someone so miserable would join this profession.

Unfriendly, abrupt, and rude, would not recommend!

During a virtual visit, where I was feeling particularly vulnerable I was met with Dewanda Porter who was defensive and abrupt before I even spoke. She reprimanded me about having 2 visits in 1 day (the first virtual visit was cut off). I just don't understand why folks go into the helping professions and seem to have a genuine distain for people. Super disappointing.

Careless and unhelpful
Had a virtual visit where I was clearly sick and having a hard time breathing. During the visit dewanda is convinced I just have a cold. Brushes off everything I say, doesn’t even include that I have a fever in my after visit summary. Also in the summary she puts that I do not look sick.. later that evening I am rushed to the hospital via ambulance because I am throwing up, shaking, and cannot breathe. Come to find out I found out I am battling pneumonia, sepsis, and had tachycardia upon arrival. Fever of 104.5…spent 4 days in the hospital and am still recovering today. I have never experienced such a lack of care or concern from any provider I have spoke to at the clinic like I have from her. I knew something was seriously wrong and I was right. If you feel something isn’t right then trust your instincts.
