Denise lacks the empathy that therapists need to be effective. When I mentioned something that troubled me, she would compare it to something in her life and say that it wouldn't bother her. Gee, if only it were so easy. Perhaps you could give convey to me tools instead of just saying it shouldn't bother me. She just doesn't seem to care or have knowledge of how to help.

Do not book any appointments here. She had me take online surveys (literally found on Google) to see if I had OCD, ADHD, or Anxiety disorders during the intake session. Mind you, I just wanted to set up time to speak to a therapist. It was super uncomfortable, as though she was trying to find something wrong with me. Then I tried calling to cancel my appointment and nobody answered so I left a message. When I got the reminder email for my appt the day before (which was the first and only communication I received about my appointment!), I realized they hadn't called me back. So I called again saying I needed to cancel and had left a message, and they told me they had to charge me $50 for cancellation within 48 hours. Even though I called and left a message...! They ask for your credit card info upfront so I didn't have much leverage in fighting it. Overall, Denise is just trying to make money and scam you. She doesn't care about your actual well-being.

She was unprofessional and would tell me about other patients.

Awful. Extremely unprofessional. She should not be in the mental health field at all!

Denise is very patient and has been working with me for many years. She always has solutions for my problems and she alway makes herself available to me.
