Not fit to help anyone.
I had to let a couple months pass before I could bring myself to write this review. I had 6 counseling sessions with Deborah Merriman. Each session gradually became worse. Although I was always 5-10 minutes early and brought a book with me, Deborah always seemed annoyed with my ability to arrive on time. I made sure my phone was turned to silent and vibrate was off before entering the building. I never brought my children or anyone else for my sessions, and yet there always seemed to be some sort of tension from Deborah. After 6 sessions, and being on the receiving end of someone who reminded me of a Dictator, I had to seek help elsewhere because the sessions with Deborah felt emotionally damaging. Yes, therapy is work, it is difficult. But should the therapist make rude comments about the way a patient or client dresses or because of the type of shoe they wore? No. It's very rude and selfish. Shame on you Deborah Merriman.
