I saw Dr. O'Dwyer several months ago for neck pain and headaches. The chiropractic care was as expected. However, she spent multiple sessions complaining about reimbursement rates for chiro, and communicating that their practice's extra charge for "soft tissue manipulation" is a gambit to cover the gap from what the reimbursement rate is to what she feels her time is worth as a chiropractor.
The biggest problem though is that the "soft tissue manipulation" wasn't on par with a massage, lasted scant minutes, and cost as much out of pocket. Also given the emphasis on her financial situation in our conversations, I felt her push to get several appointments on the books up front wasn't for my optimal health care but rather for the financial forecast.
Bottom line - chiropractic was good, bedside manner was not.
