Dr. David Runyan, DNP

I went for years without seeing a doctor because I had some really bad experiences that made me feel super embarrassed and ashamed of my body. As my health started to get worse I knew I needed to make a change, but I was too scared of the healthcare system and worried about being judged.Then I met David and everything changed. That's how he introduces himself....by his first name and with a warm smile. That in itself should tell you what kind of person he is. From the first time I met him I felt at ease. He actually listened to me, reassured me, and most importantly, treated me like a real person and not just a number. I've never met anyone so caring and for the first time in over 20 years I feel like I'm getting my health back on track. I feel safe with him and I'm so glad he's part of my care team.

I needed to be seen urgently and was scheduled with Dr. David who I've never seen before. I think he is new to the practice. I usually prefer to see female doctors but I'm happy I didn't decline the appointment just because of his gender. This ended up being the best healthcare experience I've ever had! He instantly made me feel comfortable and was so considerate of my trauma background without me even having to say anything. I've never felt like this before in a medical appointment, he made it feel like I was having a conversation with a good friend instead of being talked down to by a stranger who knows nothing about me or my circumstances. 100% would recommend anyone see Dr. David if they have the chance!
