I came in for a consultation for an intensive outpatient program. I was immediately told they usually don’t admit people first, then he said because I didn’t actually fully hang myself I wasn’t a good fit. I was also told that I “seem fine” at the appointment. It was told to him right when I walked in I struggle with eye contact because of neurodivergence. He immediately starts criticizing me for it and asks something about sending me articles about neurodiversity? As if I hadn’t been diagnosed at 4 years old. To top it all off when I do start crying because this man is saying I don’t qualify for the care I desperately need and I block my face from him while doing so he just says he’s “very concerned” but in a weird way. I don’t know what was going through his mind but his obliviousness and incompetence is wild. I am not the only one with bad experiences, someone else in my IOP group reported the same. I am shocked that it’s reported he only holds art degrees, but it shows
