met with David today before my surgery scheduled for next week. He was kind, patient, and answered all of my questions. He also noticed that the Peabody location is closer to my home so he called and got my follow up appt set up for the Peabody location instead of Burlington. Highly recommend !!!!!

Davis is an extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and caring provider. He listens to you and explains everything very clearly. He does not rush you through your appointment and is sure to explain all your questions to your satisfaction. I would highly recommend David to any of my friends or family and have 100% conference in him.

I saw David Melzack for follow ups after surgery to fuse my C5/C6 vertebra I had surgery at Lahey hospital. At follow-up appointments I told David that I was still in pain and and having spasms in new parts of my neck and back. He said it was probably nerve damage and not to use resistance bands at PT. I was not able to complete PT, sleep or return to work. I was forced to apply for my companies long term disability ,my short term expired while I waited for surgery. David Melzack filled out the physicians portion of the long term application with the same enthusiasm he did answering my concerns. He scribbled a line right through the limitations section of the form and at the bottom wrote not to lift over head more than 40 lbs". I can’t use resistance bands at PT but I can lift up to 40lbs over my head at work? My insurance did not except the application, I lost my job and now have to apply for Social Security because I still can not work! Don't risk your well being by going there.

David is awesome! I had a far lateral herniated disc and David treated me. I’d been in absolute agony and he helped get a transforaminal epidural (twice) which provided amazing relief. But he was so much more than that. He has a great attitude and explains both the issues and the options. He is my go-to person at the Lahey Neuro Unit.
