Darrienne Slater, NMD

My husband was having shoulder pain to the point where he was almost unable to work. He does wallpaper installation and uses his shoulders 8+ hours a day, 5-6 days per week. He had one treatment with Dr. Slater and was so improved he didn't need further treatments. Dr. Slater was very conscientious, carefully explained everything so we knew what to expect and she was very helpful throughout the evaluation and treatment.

I had 3 treatments in the fall of 2019 with Dr. Slater for chronic shoulder pain. She is a very nice person but I had no good results from her treatments. I believe she is unqualified to administer Prolotherapy and PRP treatments for shoulder patients. The most obvious evidence of this is that she demonstrated doubt and uncertainty at each treatment session - asking me what I wanted to do. A qualified doctor would have a treatment plan in place and not ask the patient what they thought would be the optimal treatment. After the 3rd treatment with her, I decided that I did not want to go back to her since my shoulder pain was getting worse each week. In early December I called her office and asked if I could instead get an appointment with Dr. Tallman, the more experienced doctor that she practices with. I was told he is not taking any new patients, even ones who had seen Dr. Slater. I felt like I wasted 3 months of my time and nearly $2,000 of my money with Dr. Slater.

I was very impressed with the amount of care and willingness to listen I received from Dr Slater. To a greater degree than many other health care providers I have dealt with in the past, she really seemed like she cared about my problem and finding a solution that will work for me and she showed great patience in making sure that all my questions and concerns were addressed. I highly recommend her.
