Danielle got upset and discontinued my service.
Dr. Talley NP (Frist Clinic under Dr. Barfield) got upset and discontinued service to me because I advocated on my own behalf for an A1C test. She said "I will not be dictated to". So as long as the bull just stands there with a ring in his nose she is ok with it, but don't insist on "if blood is drawn and labs are ordered, and paid for by my insurance and me, I want an A1C score to assist me in my health care". I feel that as long as I just take "whatever they are giving" things would be fine, but because I stood up for something that I felt helped me the most with my diabetic condition she discontinued services at Frist internal medicine. I will be replacing all 7-8 Doctors that I have (some with Frist internal medicine and some that I was sent to by Dr. Talley.

I was very well treated, very professionally and thoughtful. Rae listened to me so she could understand my issues. If given the option, I will ask for her Rae by name when iI need medical attention again.

First, let me mention that I love the Frist Clinic policy of not using "hospitalists" when their patients are admitted to CMC. It is very important that my physician, who knows me very well and for years be the one taking care of me when I am at my sickest. I have been seen twice by Ms. Talley, Nurse Practitioner. She is thorough & listens well. Her prescribed treatments have been effective in both situations. My wait was minimal.
