Friendly, but a bit 'overbearing', like 'I'm the doctor, I know, and you don't.' I felt he didn't credit me with understanding my own body or my ability to contribute to the conversation based on my experience and history. When I declined a treatment that I knew wouldn't be useful, he took that as me 'refusing his treatment' with a slight attitude of criticism. Like so many doctors (well, he's not a doctor) these days, they are heavily into tests and pharmaceuticals. If I've already had a test that didn't show anything, and I am already clear about what is NOT my problem, why wouldn't I say so? And why would he assume I don't know what I'm talking about?
