I have been seeing Dana for over 15 years. She was immensely helpful when my husband died and has helped me through several other life altering changes.

No. I saw Dana a few times. During our last session, I entered the room VERY upset, & we immediately began talking. It's very hard to have a clear, rational conversation when you're totally emotionally distraught. I feel frustrated, because I know most therapists would try to calm you down before delving into the depths of what caused you to be so triggered. She then terminated our client/therapist relationship via mail, rather than in person, which I found to be flippant. But what really gets me is that she didn't even make an effort to recommend any other therapists/facilities, which is generally what therapists do when they terminate, unless I am on a different planet. I would not recommend her if you have a strong, intense personality and will voice your concerns, frustrations, and disagree with Dana- or tell her she's upset you in some way she disagrees with. Her termination method & refusal to give referrals is highly unprofessional, and triggering. She hurt more than helped.
